The Process
How does Everfare work?
Everfare is a fully online direct arrangement service. After you contact us, we guide you through a simple four-step process: notify us of the passing, complete a brief online form with the necessary information, sign all required documents digitally, and then we handle everything else — transportation, cremation, and the return of remains. You never need to visit a funeral home.
What is direct cremation?
Direct cremation is a simple, dignified form of cremation without a formal funeral service or viewing beforehand. It is the most straightforward option available and allows families to hold a memorial service separately, at a time and place of their choosing. Direct cremation is the most common choice for families who want simplicity and affordability without sacrificing dignity.
Do I need to come in person at any point?
No. Everything is handled completely online. You can complete all forms, review and sign all documents, and communicate with our team from your home, on any device. We come to you — not the other way around.
How long does the process take?
From the time we are notified, transportation typically occurs within 24–48 hours. Cremation is generally completed within 7–10 business days, depending on state processing requirements. We keep you informed at every step and provide a clear timeline when we begin.
What happens to my loved one's remains?
After cremation is complete, the cremated remains are carefully placed in a dignified temporary container and mailed directly to your home via a secure, tracked carrier. Everfare does not sell urns or keepsakes — families who wish to purchase an urn may do so independently at any time.
Can I still hold a memorial service?
Absolutely. Direct cremation and a memorial service are completely separate. Many families choose to hold a celebration of life, a graveside service, or a private gathering after cremation — at a time and place that feels right. Everfare handles the cremation; you choose how and when to gather.
What if my loved one passed away in a different state?
We can assist with arrangements when a passing occurs in a state where Everfare is licensed. If the passing occurred in a state where we do not yet operate, we will do our best to connect you with a trusted provider. Contact us and we will help you find the right path forward.

Pricing & Payment
How much does direct cremation cost with Everfare?
Everfare Direct's introductory launch price is $1,595 — all-inclusive. Our standard price is $1,795. This covers transportation within our service area, death certificate filing, individual cremation at a licensed facility, and mailing of cremated remains to your home. There are no hidden fees, no packages, and no upsells.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. We believe in complete pricing transparency. The price you see is the price you pay. There are no upsells, no add-on packages, and no surprise charges. If there are any state-specific fees that apply to your arrangement, we will disclose them clearly before you proceed.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as ACH bank transfers. Payment is processed securely online. For pre-planned arrangements, we also offer funding options that allow you to lock in our introductory $1,595 price permanently.
Can I use life insurance or a pre-paid funeral plan to pay?
In many cases, yes. We can work with life insurance assignment and certain pre-paid funeral plan transfers. Contact our care team to discuss your specific situation and we will walk you through the options available.
Is financial assistance available?
We understand that cost is a real concern for many families. We are happy to discuss payment options and can provide documentation required for certain state or county assistance programs. Please reach out to our care team — we will do everything we can to help.
Is $1,595 the regular price or a promotional price?
$1,595 is our introductory launch price. Our standard price is $1,795. Families who arrange during the introductory period pay $1,595. Families who pre-plan during the introductory period lock in $1,595 permanently.
What is the $800 in-person arrangement fee for?
If you'd prefer to sit down with a licensed funeral director in person, you can complete your arrangements at our Apple Valley location (14850 Garrett Avenue) for an additional $800. The direct cremation service itself is identical — the fee covers the added time and personal support of an in-person appointment.
Do you offer anything besides direct cremation?
Direct cremation is our first service. We are actively working on burial arrangements, cremation with a memorial service, and additional online packages. Sign up on our "coming soon" list to be notified when new options launch.

Pre-Planning
Why should I pre-plan my cremation?
Pre-planning is one of the most thoughtful things you can do for the people you love. It removes the burden of difficult decisions from your family during an already painful time, ensures your wishes are clearly documented, and locks in today's pricing — protecting against future cost increases.
What does pre-planning involve?
Pre-planning with Everfare is simple. You complete a brief online form documenting your wishes, review and sign a pre-arrangement agreement, and optionally pre-fund your arrangement. The entire process takes about 15–20 minutes and can be done from home.
What happens to my pre-funded arrangement if I move?
Pre-funded arrangements through Everfare are transferable. If you move to a state where Everfare operates, your arrangement moves with you. If you move to a state where we do not yet serve, we will work with you to transfer your funds to a trusted provider in your new location.
Can I change my pre-arranged plans later?
Yes. You can update your pre-arranged plans at any time. Simply contact our care team and we will walk you through any changes. Pre-funded arrangements can also be cancelled for a full refund within the timeframe specified in your agreement.
Is my pre-funded money safe?
Yes. Pre-funded arrangements through Everfare are backed by a preneed insurance policy issued by United Heritage Life Insurance Company, a licensed and regulated carrier. Your funds are held independently of Everfare's operating accounts, ensuring they are protected and available when needed.
